Overview

The Transporation Scheduler is responsible for performing numerous clerical activities and data entry related to the scheduling of all transporation trips for PACE participants.  Schedules, cancels, and reschedules trips as needed while maintaining the highest degree of accuracy possible to ensure quality service delivery to PACE CNY participants.

Responsibilities

Schedules all transporation trips including: day center, medical and social and shopping outings, and any other approved trips per participant or discipline request.

 

Works in coordingation with the transportation managers and clinic schedulers to accomplish all trip bookings in a timely and accurate manner. 

 

Timely notification of appropriate staff members when scheduling conflicts arise.

 

Maintains a high level of communication with the Transporation site offices and their staffs, as well as the PACE Clinic Schedulers and Home Care Staffing Coordinators.

 

Completes and responds to communications related to the scheduling of transporation trips.

 

Supports the Transporation Offices when busy, or during staffing shortages by answering phones, taking messages, and assisting participants/caregivers.

 

Attend and participate as a Transporation Department Representative in regular PACE mornings interdisciplinary meetings when needed. 

 

Practices safety awareness, reports any possible safety/environmental issues to the appropriate person, and adheres to safety policies and procedures.

 

Demonstrates adherence to all compliance policies and procedures and the code of conduct. Displays compliance oriented behavior in the workplace. Is responsible for promoting and fostering compliance in the workplace.  Adheres to the mission and philosphy of PACE CNY and the Loretto Corporation.

Models and promotes service excellence by developing and maintainng positive respectful relationships with participants, familes/caregivers, team members, all staff throughout the organization and community partners; and ensures the highest quality of service by performing responsibilities according to the highest professtional standards. 

 

Performs other duties assgigned by the manager.

Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED required.  Associates Degree preferred.

One year scheduling experience required; two years preferred.

One year transportation industry experience preferred. 

Combinations of education, scheduling, and industry experience will be considered.

Valid NYS Driver's License.
