Assists cook as requested. Being able to follow food production orders and recipes to temper meats and appropriate vegetables. Cleans, custs, chops, grinds and otherwise prepares raw fruits and vegetables. Participates fully in Quality Assurance Program and the Loretto State of the Heart Customer Service Program of Courtesy, Caring, Confidentiality and Commitment.
Works from recipes and production sheets to assemble infredients for cooks. Uses scales and other measuring/weighing devices to properly assembly recipe infredients and groups ingredients according to recipe. Uses equipment such as robo coupe, grinders, choppers, slicers, knives, peelers, and shredders to pre=prep raw fruits and vegetables. Grinds breads, makes purees and makes snack sandwishes if directed. Properly portion, pan, and label food for proper distribution. Maintains Production schedule. Must follow HAACP regulations. Must clean and sanitize work area.
High School Graduate preferred. Must be able to read and write and also be able to understand and follow oral and written directions. Institutional cooking experience is desirable. Must become Serve-Safe Certified, Level I at the first opportunity presented by Employer to take course.
