To provide for an enjoyable dining experience for the residents by taking orders and delivering meals to residents, clearing and resetting tables for meals and catered events, and delivering and retrieving room service trays. Follows instructions and works as part of a team, performing tasks such as floor maintenance, housekeeping, and very basic, non-skilled maintenance. Maintains area in a clean and sanitary fashion as directed by a supervisor. All other duties as detailed will be explained by the department manager
Assure tables are correctly set according to diagram provided, cleared and re-set after each meal. Courteously take and serve orders in courses. Clear each course before next course is brought out. Serve food according to individual diet charts. Clean and sanitize equipment such as tables, chairs, steam tables, toasters, coolers, ice cream freezers and/or machines. Deliver and pick up room service trays.
High School Diploma or GED. Ability to read, write and comprehend the English language. Ability to adapt to changes in schedule to meet resident needs. This includes special events, weekends, evenings and observed holidays. Ability to carry trays and take orders from residents and guests. Capable of approval by NYS DOH Criminal History Records Check. Category 1 physical requirements.
