  • Overview

    Oversee the day to day non-clinical operations of the evening shift, Skilled Nursing Facility. Coordinate

    interdisciplinary team efforts to assure efficient and effective services are provided to the residents. Serve as the

    liaison between staff and the Administrator. Assure that all evening staff are appropriately oriented to procedures.

    Monitor and manage staff adherence to all corporate policy/procedures and pertinent third party agency

    regulations. Oversee evening shift equipment and facility maintenance. Manage resident/family customer

    service, complaint system for evening shift issues

     

    Responsibilities

    Compliance

    Effectively communicate and implement all corporate policy and procedures. Assure adherence to all third

    party agency regulations.

     

    Ensure orientation/re-orientation, in-services and health assessment requirements for each staff member

    are met.

     

    Corporate Participation

    Assure employee incident/accident investigations - and documentation are complete , accurate and timely.

    Effectively serve as the conduit for evening shift staff communications between the Adminitrator and senior

    management.

     

    Effectively support coprporate goals and initiatives through personal goal setting, communications with staff

    and monitoring progress.

     

    Serve as subject matter expert in interpretation of policy, senior management directives, contract

    interpretation, and procedure definition.

     

    Documentation

    - Assure all necessary documentation is complete, accurate and timely per regulatory requirements.

    Employee Development

    Coordinate efforts with Bargaining Unit hierarchy to provide consistent, equitable administration of the

    contract. Address issues in a timely manner.

     

    Maintain current knowledge of regulations and contract language/guidelines. Addresss changes

    appropriately.

     

    Monitor and manage evening shift staff effectiveness. Maintain staff development plans, addressing

    deficiencies including hiring, disciplines, recognition and terminations as required. Maintain confidentiality.

     

    Equipment/Loretto Property

    Assure all Loretto equipment is utilized as intended to minimize risk of injury and achieve maximum useful

    life.

     

    Manage evening shift maintenance activities, prioritizing as necessary. Follow up to assure acceptable

    completion of requests.

     

    Quality Assurance

    Effectively participate in corporate quality initiatives through data gathering, analysis and corrective action

    administration.

     

    Facilitate interdisciplinary team sessions and insure participation by appropriate personnel to provide proper

    and safe care for residents.

     

    - Monitor and manage resident complaint system for evening shift. Assure timely and effective resolution.

    Provide timely communication to staff on quality indicators, trends, corrective actions and quality

    improvement progress.

     

    Resident/Client Care

    Address non-clinical resident/family concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner. Maintain accurate

    accountings of issues and communicate per procedure and regulatory requirements.

     

    - Assure complete communications and a smooth transition between shifts.

    Revision

     

    Qualifications

    (3-5) years experience in supervision, preferrably a union environment.

    Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration or Human Resources from an accredited college or

    university.

     

     

    Demonstrated success in application of problem solving techniques.

    - Familiarity with DOH, HIPPA regulations a plus.

    - Proficiency in MS Office Suite or equivalent.

    - Proven success in administering a bargaining unit contract in either supervisory capacity or Human Resources.

    - Proven written and oral communication skills.

    - Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
