Under the direction of the Office Manager, performs receptionist, switchboard, and clerical functions primarily for a geriatric population.
Greets participants and visitors upon arrival. Answers telephone, screens, and routes calls as necessary or takes messages when appropriate. Monitors participant(s)/visitor(s) activity in waiting area; provides direction and assistance to visitors. Receives the Center’s mail and routes appropriately. Answers general questions or assists visitors in locating appropriate assistance
High School diploma or equivalency. Minimum two (2) years receptionist experience preferred . Computer/data entry skills required; previous clinic/medical office/receptionist experience preferred. Excellent communication and customer service skills necessary. Requires ability to distinguish letters or symbols. Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephone, copier and fax machine.
